Le Bestiaire d'Amour is a colour book limited to 5 original copies, containing 15 animal etchings printed on 230g Hahnemühle paper. In addition, 25 original copies of prints have been printed out of the book in 38/53 cm format (from 6 to 30 copies).
The book offers a playful approach to a 13th century text, Richard de Fournival's Bestiaire d'Amour, through the elaboration of a lexicon attributing colours to emotions.
If he plays the game of retranscribing this lexicon to the body image, the reader will be able to give back to the animal the colors of its emotions. The animal's body being inhabited by a set of zones with different emotions, the whole will reveal the complex nature of love.
The book was printed in lead typeface (Garamont italic c.16).
